We have chosen vegetable tanning because it respects the beauty and durability of the leathers, without damaging the balance of the environment around us.
This practice is one of the oldest techniques for treating leathers: it transforms a leather recovered from animal origin waste into a material that retains its innate characteristics to the fullest.
This process involves the use of chemical reagents derived exclusively from natural substances, particularly tannins found in the bark of some trees. From this complex procedure arises the renowned ‘vegetable leather’ or ‘vegetable tanned leather’.
